At the 10th Global Forum on Urban Resilience and Adaptation - Resilient Cities 2019, the Finance Forum's Peer Exchange Session of the Global Platform for Sustainable Cities (GPSC) will bring together city representatives and financial experts to share experience and guidance on how local governments can access climate finance. What works? What is needed? How can we ease the process?

Covering existing good practice, available tools, and expertise for helping cities develop robust and bankable projects, this interactive session will bring information and knowledge to city representatives and encourage them to share their experiences with each other, exchange ideas and find solutions together.

The GPSC, funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), is a collaborative knowledge platform for cities, networks and institutions to advance the urban sustainability agenda by promoting a common approach to integrated urban planning. The GPSC Resource Team, composed of ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability, WRI Ross Center and C40 Cities, is responsible for promoting knowledge sharing and capacity development among participating cities through peer-to-peer learning, training academies, access to a range of tools, and knowledge products.
