Catalina is the Building Efficiency intern at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. She works on the Building Efficiency Initiative and dedicates most of her time to the Building Efficiency Accelerator, public-private partnership coordinated by WRI. The BEA is transitioning to Phase 2 and Catalina is supporting in the tasks needed for that transition.
Catalina has experience working with cities in the Open Government field. She previously collaborated with the Open Contracting Partnership were she coordinated the Latin America Helpdesk. Before that she worked in "Codeando Mexico" a non-profit organization that worked on civic innovation projects in collaboration with citizens and governments to solve public challenges using data and technology.
Catalina has a BA in Political Science from the Tec de Monterrey University with international exchanges in SciencesPo and UC Berkeley and is currently pursuing her MPA concentrating on Energy and Environment at Columbia University.
Catalina loves tourism, from walking tours to visiting new continents. She enjoys watching political documentaries. Catalina has run 5 marathons.
