Emily is the Urban Development Intern in the Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. She will be writing a research paper on the societal and economic impacts of Transit-Oriented Development in emerging economies while sorting and collating data from Mexico, Bangalore, and Johannesburg.
Prior to joining WRI, Emily previously interned at an economic development corporation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania completing a database use in for real-estate development and sustainable economic development. She has also worked with local governments on watershed coordination and promoting carbon-free methods of transportation through the planning of extensive bike paths through suburban Pittsburgh.
Emily holds B.A.’s in Economics and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh and is currently pursuing her Master of Public Policy degree at Georgetown University.
