Gustavo Jiménez is the Manager of Transportation Planning and Operations of EMBARQ Mexico. He is also leading the OPTIMO project, which engages private companies in Mexico City to apply transport demand management (TDM) strategies and foster innovations in personal mobility.
Gustavo has eight years of professional experience in transportation engineering and urban planning. He most recently worked as a project manager for Fehr & Peers – Transportation Consultants, a California-based consulting firm, and was a technical leader in developing muti-modal transportation plans for almost five years. He has expertise in transport modeling and analysis, and has developed various analytical tools for analyzing transportation policies in American cities.
Gustavo is trained as a Civil Engineer, and earned his master's degree in Transportation Planning and Engineering from the University of Texas, Arlington, completing his practicum at the Metropolitan Planning Organization of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He also worked for two years as a consultant for the Louis Berger Group in New York City, providing technical consultation to financial institutions in the United States. He is a member of the Institute of Transport Engineers, and holds a certificate as a Transportation Planning Professional.
