Kira is the Executive Assistant to the Global Director of WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities.
She serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities and liaison to Country Office Directors, Project Area Leads, and external donors and partners. She works closely with the Director and Senior Management, assisting in office management, completion of deliverables, preparation for upcoming events and commitments, supporting internal and external requests, and coordinating special projects.
Prior to joining WRI, Kira worked for over a decade with Hyatt Hotels, as an Executive Assistant and then Human Resources Manager. She held a key planning role for the Sierra Club of Maryland’s attendance at the People’s Climate March and volunteered with the 2014 EcoDistricts Summit. She worked for 2 years as a consultant for groups including Green Festivals, Inc., Green Wheaton, Chesapeake Sustainable Business Council, and Great Forest Sustainability Solutions.
Kira holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration / Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management from the University of Delaware. She is attending American University for an MS in Sustainability Management in the Kogod School of Business.
