Mehsum Basharat is an Urban Transformation Intern at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. He works to actively engage social media and potential stakeholders for WRI Ross Prize, by highlighting stories that promote the organization’s mission and the definition of transformative projects.
Prior to interning at WRI, Mehsum has researched and collaborated on various research projects regarding urban issues, particularly water, energy and land rights in the South Asian context. He has also worked within the education sector in Pakistan.
Mehsum holds a B.A. Honors in Liberal Studies from Beaconhouse National University, Pakistan and is currently a second-year graduate student in Global Energy and Environmental Policy program at GWU’s Elliott School of International Affairs.
Mehsum is fluent in three languages and currently resides in Georgetown, DC.
