Ranjana Menon is a Project Associate with the Urban Transport team of EMBARQ India. She is engaged in advancing and expanding EMBARQ India’s focus on cycling. She is involved in projects that range from doing research on cycling to identify gaps where EMBARQ can be involved in to helping city governments’ launch projects like Public Bicycles Schemes/ Bike shares. She also assists certain projects related to public transport like Inter-Modal Fare Integration and creation of a BRT in Bangalore, India. Her other interest is in projects that engage the private sector in solving transport issues in India. Ranjana previously worked with TRIPP (IIT Delhi), an academic centre; iTrans, a consultancy & Parisar, an NGO. All three organizations focused on promoting Sustainable Transport in Indian cities. Her previous profiles involved research for advocacy and practice & stakeholder consultations. Ranjana holds a Masters in Economics from the Central University of Hyderabad. Ranjana is also very interested in reading on urban development, exploring cities, street art and analogue photography.
