Sebastian is an Associate with the Climate and Energy Program at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. He works in the IDB/GEF project as Lead Researcher, providing low carbon transport technology advice for cities in the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region.
Previously to joining WRI, Sebastian worked at a Bogotá based consultancy, specializing on the design and implementation of Intelligent Transport System (ITS) projects around South and Central America. He focused particularly on ITS for public transport, including Automatic Fare Collection Systems (AFC), Fleet Management Systems (FMS) and Electronic Tolling.
Sebastian holds an Electronic Engineering degree from the Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), an Engineering Degree (Project Management and Technology) from the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne (France) and an MSc. in Transport Planning and the Environment, from the Institute for Transport Studies at the University of Leeds (UK).
Sebastian enjoys cycling, travelling and volunteering for causes that can change people's lives for the best.
