The DigitalTransport4Africa (DT4A) Webinar Series is a monthly webinar organized by WRI Africa and Global with DT4A consortium partners. The goal of the series is to facilitate knowledge exchange around public transport and data initiatives taking place in African cities and beyond, especially those undertaken by the consortium partners.

Adapting urban mobility to the changes of the 21st century is a significant challenge that necessitates evidence-based and well-considered decisions. The Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI) Mobility Data Hub addresses this challenge by making globally dispersed urban mobility data accessible in one place. Currently, it includes data from 49 cities, 1149 datasets, and 2073 resources covering topics such as public transport, urban planning, air quality, and more. The TUMI Mobility Data Hub is expanding to provide data-driven solutions to even more cities. Sustainable mobility and data are inseparable, and we aim to showcase this relationship during our webinar on the TUMI Mobility Data Hub. The webinar will highlight how open-source solutions can be utilized worldwide to efficiently collect, organize, and share data, resulting in more sustainable mobility.

TUMI is a global implementation initiative focused on sustainable mobility, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ. TUMI is a member of the DT4A steering committee.
