Building Leaders in Urban Transport Planning - #LUTPColombia 2015
Following the success of the two previous training programs in Mexico, the World Bank and EMBARQ Mexico are delighted to announce the new Leaders in Urban Transport Planning course in Bogotá, Colombia! Bogotá has been a source of inspiration for the transformation of transportation in Latin America. This is why the city is chosen to host the new edition of the training course, "Building Leaders in Urban Transport Planning". The program will cover topics including tools for systematic planning of integrated mobility corridor management, alternative public transport planning, evaluating alternatives, institutions and governance, financing and public-private partnerships, and key issues in Latin American cities.

Participants should study the material before the classroom course, which consists of 24 modules in 7 clusters.
- 7-day "hands-on"workshop (February 22 - February 28, 2015): The objective of the workshop is to raise awareness of the issues involved in comprehensive planning of urban mobility, its various components and how they should be addressed in the decision making. We will make extensive use of case studies, group work and field visits. Participants must work together to solve a specific urban mobility problem and present recommendations at the end of the week in front of a jury of high-level public officials in the host city, World Bank officials and experts from the EMBARQ Network.
