Powering Progress Together
In April, Powering Progress Together will convene leaders from across California for an action-packed day of dialogue focused on accelerating the energy transition.
While acknowledging that the energy transition is well underway in California, the conversation will focus on the need for continued creativity, collaboration, solution-focused policy and investment across all sectors.
The opening session will see a discussion on the role of technology as one of the key levers to aid California’s energy transition. Technology, research and development - whether by niche green-tech companies, established energy incumbents, or preferably both - has a role to play in influencing the future energy roadmap. It’s a relevant component for all topics we’ll discuss during Powering Progress Together as we break into two tracks: the first focused on future Infrastructure for the Mobility Revolution, which will tackle the intersection of increased electrification as an essential future fuel for personal mobility, and the second track focused on the opportunities and challenges of delivering Cleaner Energy for Everyone.
The audience will come together for the final session which will focus on what we heard today, and how our conversations illuminate that the future of energy is everyone’s business. Collaboration, even with unlikely partners, is essential if society is to successfully meet its long-term climate goals
Emma Stewart, the Urban Efficiency & Climate Director at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities, will speak at this Shell-hosted event on the reinvention of the energy sector, specifically as it relates to transportation and WRI's Clean Power Council. Lean more.
