More information
The mass public use of social media—including blogging, Facebook, and Twitter—is changing the way we conceive of and discuss urban policy. These are not only powerful tools for exchanging ideas, but also effective platforms for the democratization of discourse around urban issues traditionally discussed exclusively among political, economic, and academic elites. However, these communciation tools also bring risks, including the possible trivialization of urban debates into 140 characters. This webinar will address how social media can contribute to more just, productive, and sustainable cities.
