Public bicycle sharing (PBS) systems are widely utilized across Europe and China, with other regions of the world quickly catching up. India has yet to witness the implementation of a city-wide public bicycle sharing system, despite numerous local and neighborhood scale pilot initiatives. Several Indian cities are considering developing large scale public bicycle sharing systems for their residents. This webinar will provide an overview of the current public bicycle sharing systems in India, and the challenges of implementing large scale public bicycle systems in cities.
