Webinar: Neighborhood Improvement Plans - Engaging the Community
Join EMBARQ India for a series of capacity-building webinars and trainings on The Hub, a space for learning, connecting, collaborating, and contributing to sustainable transport and urban development in Indian cities.
This webinar will introduce the “Neighborhood Improvement Plan,” and discuss various initiatives such as road safety design and street signage that can be integrated during the planning process.

Neighborhood improvement initiatives are not a new concept in India, but they can be improved to more comprehensively benefit citizens.Building on these initiatives is the “Neighborhood Improvement Plan,” which looks at neighborhood improvement in a more integrated manner. This ground-up city planning strategy aims to give local residents greater ownership over their community and encourage them participate in the planning process. This webinar will discuss various initiatives such as road safety design and street signage that can be integrated during the planning process. The webinar will also include how the Neighborhood Improvement Plan can become a standard planning tool for Indian neighborhoods.
