More information
For years in Mexico, the design of public spaces has been carried out exclusively by government administrations, ignoring the voices of community residents. This has weakened the sense of ownership and the identity of the communities around public spaces. The "Manual for Participatory Processes in the Design of Public Spaces" is a standardized product combining international practices and local context, and seeks to engages citizens before, during and after the design process. This Spanish-language webinar will explore the potential for community to engagement to design better public spaces and create close-knit communities.
