Quality of public transport service in Mexico
August 28, 2014
Saul Alveano, Service Quality Coordinator at EMBARQ Mexico, presented on the factors that define quality service for public transport in Mexican cities. Mexico has made efforts to improve transport service and make organization changes, including strengthening institutional capacity, building legal and regulatory frameworks, and expanding infrastructure to support public transport. However, these efforts are generally focused on the needs of transport engineers, rather than those of users, who should be at the center of the system. This presentaion focuses on the key factors involved in the processes of transport planning and how to manage high quality systems.
