ADVISORY: Transforming Transportation 2019
WASHINGTON, DC (January 10, 2019) – The World Bank and the EMBARQ mobility initiative of WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities invite the press to attend Transforming Transportation 2019, one of the largest global conferences dedicated entirely to sustainable transport.
The theme for the annual conference, now in its 16th year, is “Will New Mobility Deliver Sustainable Transport for All?” A thousand participants, including government officials, CEOs, technology pioneers, academics and development experts, will discuss how new technologies, data platforms and business models are integrating with current transport modes to solve old problems, from efficiency and equity to safety, and how new mobility can help address climate change. We will explore the current and future challenges faced by countries across the developing world in providing sustainable mobility for all.
Transforming Transportation is based on the premise that transitioning to smart, sustainable mobility will play an essential part in addressing global challenges such as climate change, poverty, gender inequality and public health.
If you are a member of the press and would like to attend, please contact Wesley Uhl (Wesley.Uhl@wri.org) and Craig Brownstein (Craig.Brownstein.5@wri.org). Or watch online at transformingtransportation.org.
