Forum on Integrated Transportation systems will cultivate knowledge exchange in Lima
On May 2 and 3, transport professionals and representatives from the cities of Leon, Mexico; Santiago, Chile; Bogota, Columbia; and Sao Paulo, Brazil, will convene in Lima, Peru, for the Forum on Integrated Transport Systems in Latin America, organized by the Transitemos Foundation.
Jorge Jara, Executive Director of EMBARQ Andino, along with other experts, will share experiences in the areas of integrated transport management, grants, operation and collection systems, and involvement from local and national authorities. Additional topics of discussion will include technical and contractual conditions of grants, mitigation of negative impacts, transition to new systems, and fare collection and modal integration with different systems.
International speakers confirmed for the event include Amilcar Lopez of Mexico; Patricio Pérez of Chile; Paulo Motta of Brazil; and EMBARQ expert, Darío Hidalgo, of Columbia.
The Forum will be held over two days -- the first of which will target entrepreneurs and urban transport operators, in particular, while the second will cater to transport authorities, government officials, professionals, consultants, and other stakeholders involved in the urban public transport operations.
The conference will be held at the SENCICO auditorium, located on the Avenue de Poecias 351 - San Borja, espalda del Indecopi, Lima.
