Habitat III has released its third version of the Zero Draft of the New Urban Agenda. Our experts have analyzed the newest version and have drafted a response to the document here.
The following are high-level takeaways following the review of the most recent version of the Zero Draft:
- Habitat III negotiators must better include the implementation phase of the New Urban Agenda
- Linkages to other global processes (Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Agreement) must be strengthened
- Progress reports must improved
- Agents for change must be enabled
- A Quito Action Agenda should be created
