Bio

Becca Warner is Communications Specialist II at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. She directs WRI Ross Center’s social media strategy, crafting targeted, engaging content to uplift critical research and thought leadership to key audiences.

Prior to joining WRI, Becca worked as a strategic communications consultant and writer, advising organizations on a user-centered, data-driven approach to content development and strategy. She designed a comprehensive guide to remote community engagement for cities looking to maintain robust practices of public participation during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is also an expert in community-centered design, working with municipal governments to develop a resident-centered culture of open data and collaborative policymaking to address local issues.

Becca holds a B.A. in Political Science and French from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and lives in Washington, D.C.
