Hillary Smith
Bio
Hillary Smith is Communications Specialist for WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. She supports the program on media relations; editorial work, including for the Center’s blog, TheCityFix; and a range of other external and internal communications duties.
Prior to joining WRI, Hillary taught English in rural France and performed publishing and non-profit support work in internships with small literary publishers like Copper Canyon Press in Port Townsend, WA.
A Pacific Northwest native, Hillary holds a B.A. in English from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA, where she ran Whitman's annual literary magazine. She has written and published in a variety of styles, from short fiction to online content.
Hillary enjoys playing saxophone, piano and mediocre flute; going on unnecessarily long day hikes; and traveling by train. She dreams of one day living with a small herd of Corgis.
