Kangjie Liu
Bio
Kangjie "Zé" Liu is an Electric Mobility Research Analyst at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. His work focuses on decarbonizing the transport sector in Asia with electric mobility, through a systems-thinking approach.
Hailing from Guangzhou, China, Zé has lived in the American Northeast for about half of his life. After he completed a dual undergraduate degree of global liberal arts and Latin American studies at NYU, he went on to pursue a Master of City Planning program at Penn.
Prior to joining WRI, Zé interned at the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy and at the Asia & Latin America Program of the Dialogue. He has also worked independently as a China and data visualization consultant.
Zé, in his free time, dabbles in illustration and runs a small international productivity group. He lives with his partner in New York City but loves to hop on long-distance train travel whenever he can.
