Kangjie "Zé" Liu is an Electric Mobility Research Analyst at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. His work focuses on decarbonizing the transport sector in Asia with electric mobility, through a systems-thinking approach.
Hailing from Guangzhou, China, Zé has lived in the American Northeast for about half of his life. After he completed a dual undergraduate degree of global liberal arts and Latin American studies at NYU, he went on to pursue a Master of City Planning program at Penn.
Prior to joining WRI, Zé interned at the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy and at the Asia & Latin America Program of the Dialogue. He has also worked independently as a China and data visualization consultant.
Zé, in his free time, dabbles in illustration and runs a small international productivity group. He lives with his partner in New York City but loves to hop on long-distance train travel whenever he can.
