Karla López

Karla Lorena López Ferro is the Editorial Coordinator for WRI México. She is responsible for coordinating and supervising all written and editorial content that is produced in the organization, either to be published at WRI México’s webpage or externally.

Karla worked as deputy editor of global news at Reforma and later as a multimedia editor and translator at the English desks of the news agencies Xinhua and EFE. She represented Mexican journalists as a speaker at the World Journalists’ Conference 2015 in South Korea.

Karla holds a Master's degree in Humanitarianism and Conflict Response from the University of Manchester and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the Escuela de Periodismo Carlos Septién García. She also holds a diploma in Designing relief projects in Conflict and Disasters Settings from CRASH, MSF Foundation, and in Democracy, National Security, and Human Rights from the Universidad Iberoamericana.
