Kira is the Administrative Manager for the Global Director's office of the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. She plays a central role in supporting the Global Director, optimizing information flow, business efficiencies and project directives. She oversees his responsibilities relating to public engagements; liaises with the Center's Advisory Group, Country Office Directors, and external partners; facilitates both early stage and on-going relationship management; and manages the Global Director’s administrative team. Kira works with colleagues across the global WRI network and serves as the primary point of contact on behalf of the Global Director.
Before transitioning to a sustainability career, Kira worked for over a decade with Hyatt Hotels, primarily in Human Resources. Prior to joining WRI Ross Center, Kira worked on her own, supporting multiple organizations including Green Festivals, Inc., Green Wheaton, Chesapeake Sustainable Business Council, and Great Forest Sustainability Solutions.
Kira received her MS in Sustainability Management from American University’s Kogod School of Business. She holds a BS in Business Administration / Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management from the University of Delaware, and previously received her Green Roof Professional accreditation.
