Lais Valieris

Urban Development Analyst, WRI Brasil Ross Center for Sustainable Cities


Lais Valieris is an Urban Development Analyst for Cities at WRI Brasil. She integrates the Urban Development team she where contributes with urban transformation and urban planning projects in different scales.

Before joining WRI, Lais worked at São Paulo City Hall as an intern at the public company São Paulo Urbanism, where she collaborated with strategic urban planning in large scale. Later, still at the São Paulo City Hall as Technical Advisor, she worked with government innovation and led participatory projects to improve public services. She also has experience with housing issues and worked with urban land regularization, mapping and data research in vulnerable settlements.

Lais is an Architect and Urban Planner graduated from the University of São Paulo (USP) and did part of her studies at the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) in Rotterdam, where she studied Urban Management and Development Sustainable Urbanism. She also has a Public Management specialization from INSPER.
