Mitchell Abuan is a Grants and Finance Specialist II for WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. He works to support project management, budgeting and financial management, communications, event organizing and other operational tasks.
Prior to joining WRI, Mitchell worked as a project manager, senior financial analyst, program assistant, and operations assistant. He began his career at the United States Agency for International Development as the Chief Innovation Officer's executive assistant and then operations assistant. Moving to the Global Partnerships team as an program assistant to work on the Partnering to Accelerate Entrepreneurship program. After graduate school Mitchell focused on local issues by joining the City of Seattle Department of Transportation as a finance analyst, being promoted to a senior financial analyst. He then became an independent contractor providing project management services.
Mitchell holds a B.A. in International Relations from American University's School of International Services, and a M.P.A. from the University of Washington's Evans School of Public Policy and Governance.
