Project Coordinator, Building Efficiency Initiative
Shannon is Project Coordinator for the Building Efficiency Initiative within the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. She provides communications and financial coordination as well as administrative and logistical support for the Initiative’s work on efficient buildings and sustainable planning in key cities, including in Mexico, China and India.
Prior to joining WRI, Shannon was Program Coordinator for the International Economic Relations program at American University, as well as an intern with Partners of the Americas’ Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas Senior Fellows Program. Previously, she worked as a policy intern and legal writer.
Shannon holds an M.A. in International Affairs from the American University School of International Service, where she concentrated on Energy & Natural Resources and Latin America, as well as a B.A. in Government from Cornell University
Shannon grew up in rural Pennsylvania. She comes to WRI with a love of the outdoors, linguistics, journalism and a passion for good coffee.
