Senior Manager, eMobility Strategy and Manufacturing Engagement
Stephanie Ly is the Senior Manager, eMobility Strategy and Manufacturing Engagement, at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. She leads the manufacturing and supply chain work under the Electric School Bus Initiative, which aims to electrify all U.S. school buses by 2030. Stephanie also manages the WRI NDC Transport Initiative for Asia, which focuses on decarbonizing transportation in China, India, and Vietnam to help meet global climate goals.
Prior to joining WRI, Stephanie worked at a major automotive supplier and start-up electric truck company managing medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicle deployments with manufacturers, corporate fleets, and government agencies. She was involved in deploying early stage electric drayage trucks, yard tractors, port equipment, and refuse trucks with leading original equipment manufacturers. Stephanie previously served as Assistant Director, International Programs, at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she oversaw a global research program. She was a Conrad N. Hilton Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Scholar at the UCLA World Policy Analysis Center and National Institutes of Health Doctoral Fellow. Her global work experience spans over 4 continents and 12 countries.
Stephanie holds a Ph.D. from UCLA, a Master in Public Health from the University of Southern California, and a B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Business Administration from Lycoming College. Stephanie lives in San Diego, CA and enjoys trail running and fostering animals.
