Senior Manager, Fleet Electrification and Charging, WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities
Stephanie Ly is the Senior Manager, Fleet Electrification and Charging, at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. She engages U.S. school bus manufacturers and major industry stakeholders in an effort to electrify all U.S. school buses by 2030 and manages other global e-mobility projects.
Prior to joining WRI, Stephanie worked at Meritor, a major automotive supplier, managing early commercial electric vehicle deployments with manufacturers, Fortune 500 fleets, government agencies, ports, and air districts. Stephanie previously served as Assistant Director, International Programs, at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Operation Smile, where she oversaw a global research program on birth defects. She was also a Conrad N. Hilton Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Scholar at the UCLA World Policy Analysis Center and National Institutes of Health Doctoral Fellow. Her global work experience spans over 4 continents and 12 countries.
Stephanie holds a Ph.D. from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, a Master in Public Health from the University of Southern California, and a B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Business Administration from Lycoming College.
Stephanie lives in San Diego, CA, where she drives a hydrogen fuel cell car and enjoys running marathons and fostering animals.
