Travis is a Research Analyst with the Urban Mobility team at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. He is a transportation and open data enthusiast with a Master’s degree in GIS from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology from Carleton College. He has worked as transportation policy researcher at the University of Minnesota, a planner for the Minnesota Department of Transportation, a civic hacker for Nepali tech NGO, Kathmandu Living Labs, and a repair guy for a massage chair company in Boulder, Colorado.
Travis has published papers and given presentations for the Transportation Research Board (TRB). He has also published creative short stories.
He once solo backpacked from Canada to Mexico, 2,700 miles, along the Pacific Crest Trail.
