Tuğçe Üzümoğlu
Bio
Tuğçe started at WRI Türkiye Sustainable Cities in October 2015. As an environmental engineer she will assist projects to improve air quality and public health with walking, cycling and reduction of GHG emissions by fuel efficiency and clean fuels. She will also support stakeholder engagement for those projects.
Previously, she was intern at Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urban Planning where she worked for environmental permits and management. After that she was an intern in EMBARQ Türkiye, and continued to volunteer for six months. She was already working for the projects within this volunteering period of time. While pursuing her Bachelor Degree, she also studied Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to assess emission dispersion, air pollution control and also solid waste management.
Tuğçe enjoys canoeing, ceramics and painting. Also she likes travelling to different places and tracking during early mornings.
