Yaya Liu

Yaya is an intern in the Electric Mobility Team. She supports the work of the NDC-TIA project. She has a keen interest in vehicle electrification and decarbonization. She is also interested in renewable energy and electricity access. 

Prior to this internship at WRI, Yaya has taken internships in both the private sector and multilateral sector ranging from the automobile industry, the financial industry to the sustainable agriculture field, where she developed skills in communications, industry research and report writing.

Yaya holds a BA in English Literature and is currently pursing a Master's degree at Johns Hopkins SAIS, mainly focusing on Development, Climate and Sustainability. 

Yaya lives in Washington, DC with her roommate. They love cooking together. In her spare time, Yaya loves listening to music, reading detective novels and taking photos with her friends in Georgetown when the weather is nice.
